Win2k and multithreading apps on a DC

By jeremyhoughton ·
hey all, I'm working on a project and am looking for some documentation that shows the issues with running multithreading applications on a win 2k domain controller.

If any of you know where there are any articles pertaining to this I would greatly appreciate it.

As far as I know ,the DC is just another database app and you would treat that file server like any other app server.

Which means that you need the right amount of hardware resources to run the apps.(ie RAM ,CPU,Disk and IO)

The OS should handle any app that is written to handle multi thread/SMP issues.

Just remember, putting all of your eggs in one basket(all one file server)increases your risk for a BSOD.

I agree

I agree, the problem is that this contract is a government contract and every little thing needs to be documented. This was brought up in a meeting and now documentation to that is needed.
