Win2K locks up

By javadaddy ·
Hello,
I have WIN2K professional installed on my PC. My system seems to run fine except for an occasional freeze. It locks up completely and will not let me do an alt-ctrl-delete. I have to do a hard reboot. When I check the event viewer I see the following error.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: viadsk
Event Category: None
Event I 9
Date: 9/4/2001
Time: 5:02:19 AM
User: N/A
Computer: WEB-ONE
Description:
The device, \Device\Scsi\viadsk2, did not respond within the timeout period.
Data:
0000: 0f 00 10 00 01 00 66 00 ......f.
0008: 00 00 00 00 09 00 04 c0 .......?
0010: 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........
0018: 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........
0020: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........
0028: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........
0030: 00 00 00 00 07 00 00 00 ........

It looks like its maybe looking for a SCSI device and there is not any??? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you
