Win2K Pro Upgrade didn’t pick up Win98 P

I recently updated my laptop from Win98 to Win200Pro. For some reason it treated it like a new install vs. an upgrade and didn’t pick up any of my Win98 installed programs, etc. They are all still there, including all my data files but Win2k isn’trecognizing them. Any easy fix?
