    Win2k Shut Down

    I just recently installed 2000 on a Dell OptiPlex GX1 Machine. When I go to shut down the computer it prompts me “That it is now safe to turn of your computer.” instead of just powering off. Not that this is a big deal, but I was wondering how to change it so it will power off automaticaly? Thanks

      make sure APm is enabled in your BIOS and then check to ensure windows has detected and been configured to use it. This is a common issue with 2k and XP

      try updateing BIOS
