What type of computer, version of 95 and what was the other problem. Need a little more info. Which screen can’t you modify? The main monitor background, or a windows screen?

Main monitor background.
An error occured, while working with the Control Panel file
C:\WIN95\SYSTEM\DESK.CPL. (The error message is translated from Norwegian.)This is my problem!
In my Control Panel:
The “Screen” symbol still is there twice!I think there must be an error down there somewhere. It happened after I installed some other software drivers, for my monitor card! I have removed that, of course, and installed the original again.
Just continue to give hints!

With no window open right click on the background, go to properties -> settings -> change display type, verify the adapter and monitor are correct for your computer. If not change to the appropriate type, if changed it will rebuild the driver. (you could also change it to a generic VGA and on reboot windows will prompt to change it to what it found)
Or boot into safe mode and go to control panel and delete all references to monitors and display adapters (after you note the settings!). Rebootand windows will find your monitor and display adapter.
Good Luck!

Acceptable. You had a Typo in the Address. /Q260/7/ 03.ASP? should have been /Q260/7/03.ASP?.
Despite that, and no Answer on those two “Screen Symbols” in Control Panel – you get those 500 Points!
Blaster Control 2.0 was the Sin Point. I also had Blaster Control 3.0, kept that, took a Backup, Removed the Offending Key, ReBooted, and…. – Voil?!
