Win98 password expiration in Win2k SBS

by allison_traci . Updated 23 years, 1 month ago

I have four Windows 98SE clients that connect to a Windows 2000 Small Business Server. When I created user accounts for the individuals on the server I set an initial password and specified that the password must be changed at first logon. I have XP and 2000 Pro machines that this works fine on. On the Windows 98SE clients, I receive an error that the password has expired and am not able to change it. The only way I can log on is if I uncheck that they must change the password at first log under each user account on the server. I also have the domain password policy set to require each user password to be changed every 45 days. Is there a workaround for Win98 to make both the password reset on first logon and the password change every 45 days work? Thanks in advance.
