When I start WinAmp now, I get this neat little box that pops up and says “Retrieving CDDB information….” Then inside the box it says “CDDB Service brought to you by Escient CDDB” and another box inside the box that says “Error connecting to cddb.cddb.com:8880” I have to hit the button below it to “Close” to go on. And WinAmp pulls this up for every song. Anyone know what it is trying to do? I even uninstalled WinAmp and reinstalled, and it still does it. I tried being connected to the internet when it does it in case it wanted files there, and that didn’t help either. I would like it to work correctly and don’t know what to try next.
