Winbind and X Windows

By jaolson40 ·
Howdy. I've got a RedHat 7.3 workstation with winbind successfully configured to authenticate against an NT PDC when the Linux box is running in runlevel 3. Now I need to set it so that I can authenticate vs the PDC in runlevel 5. I'm using GNOME, and I will be happy to switch to SuSE, Mandrake, RedHat 8.0, anything, if someone can tell me how to successfully set it so that the graphical login is set against an NT server.

Please, words of one syllable or less, if possible.

A (dumb) question first, did you register with the rhn network? did you do an up2date as root, if not there are a lot of left outs that you need to pick up first.
If you did, sorry to bother you......
