Window 10 is running very slow in my system after upgradation

    by adnanshaoun582 ·

I am using a Dell i3 with 4 GB RAM. I am using Windows 10. I upgraded my Windows 10. After that, I started noticing that my system is very slow. I also upgraded my system hard from HDD to SSD. It made my system speed better to some extent but it is still slow. Especially when I open any program like Photoshop or Illustrator.

Can you please suggest to me how can we improve my system speed?

There are a few things you can try to improve the speed of your system.

Check to see if your system is running any unnecessary programs in the background, as this can slow down your system. You can use the Task Manager to see which programs are running and stop any that you don’t need.

Make sure that you have enough free space on your hard drive, as a lack of space can cause your system to run slower. You can use the Disk Cleanup tool in Windows to free up space by deleting temporary files and other unneeded data.

Consider increasing the amount of RAM in your system. This can improve the speed of your system, especially when running resource-intensive programs like Photoshop and Illustrator.

You can also try using a disk defragmenter to improve the speed of your hard drive. This can help to organize the data on your hard drive and make it more efficient.

Overall, there are many potential causes of slow system performance, and the solution will depend on your specific situation. It may be helpful to try some of the steps listed above and see if they improve the speed of your system.

Open Task Manager by opening the start menu and searching for Task Manager. See what is being utilized 100% (CPU, Memory, Disk). Sort by that column. See which application is using your resources.

The issue which you discussed here, sometimes this kind of issue may happen after updating Windows. A few days before I encountered the same issue, my system was running very slow. Even though the system is running on a hard drive. The tasks which I have done, first I updated BIOS and then reset Windows 10. You can apply this, or take the help of this guide

      1. Roll Back the Most Recent Windows Updates
      2. Repair Corrupt or Damaged Files
      3. Disable Background Apps
      4. Perform a Clean Boot
      5. Run Windows System Restore
      6. Factory Reset

      Hope This Helps,
      Peter

Is your problem solved or still having issues?

Increasing RAM will also benefit and boost your system. 4 GB is not enough these days, you should have at least 8 GB minimum or 16 Gb max.
