Window Explorer standard bar

Prior to installing MS application 2003, I use to be able to view pictures using the ‘thumbnails’ option from the standard tool bar (icons, detail, list, and thumbnails)prior to opening the file.

However, since the installation of the Word and Excel 2003, the thumbnails view no longer works. If I have 20 .jpg files, I have to open each one to see the pictures. And it opens in MS Picture Managers application. Does any one have this problem and know how this can be fix so that it can be view as ‘thumbnails’ like before???

Thank you.
