Window manager when using multiple displays

by fnanfne . Updated 12 years, 4 months ago

Hi there!

As per subject, I was wondering if there is a way to manage how/where Skype Chat Windows open from when using a multiple monitor setup.

Scenario:

Chat windows open on the default (main) screen the Skype application is running on. I then like to move this window to my secondary display (larger) for easy reading. I then close this window after reading the Skype chat. When I get a reply from this chat and open the chat window, it opens up on the external monitor again.

Sought solution:

I want to control the bahaviour of these Skype chat windows. I want ALL chat windows to open on the default (main) monitor regardless of which monitor they were closed on previously.

What I’ve tried so far:

Numerous desktop window/multiple monitor programs like UltraMon, DM2, DeskAngels and Nvidia’s nView. I was most impressed with nView’s features and options though it does not seem to work at all.

Any help, ideas, suggestions are very welcome!

Steven
