Doesn’t really make a difference for gaming. Hardware is much more important than an OS with a somewhat new look and somewhat changed functions.

For me I would have to enable TPM and possibly encrypt drives so Windows 11 is on hold for now.

But the major reason I won’t go W11 is Microsoft’s insistence that I log in with a Microsoft account. So if I am on travel it’s possible for me to get locked out of my laptop.

Who thought this was a good idea?

      Windows 11 is better

Windows 11 is better for gaming and here are some reasons why:

Superior Game Pass Integration Game Pass is clearly Microsoft’s flagship gaming product, offering day-1 first-party releases and a huge library of third-party games that come and go over time.
      Improved Performance and Efficiency
      Auto-HDR for Existing Games
      DirectStorage for Faster Storage Speeds
      It’s the Future of DirectX
      Next-generation CPU Support
Xbox Features We’d Like to See in Windows 11

        Why I don’t consider Windows 11.

        1. Tries to force me to use a Microsoft account for login. Nope, I’ll use a local login.
        2. TPM. TPM is from decades ago. Just another thing that breaks down and causes folk to lose their data without warning.
        3. BITLOCKER has been reported to automatically engage without warning and again, data loss reports continue to mount.

It’s almost as if Microsoft doesn’t consider this to be my PC.
