Windows 11 Pro logon not working. Cant start desktop.

    by rontredget ·

Anyone experienced a problem installing new Windows 11Pro O/S on a Hackboard 2?

I installed 11 Pro from first time start up and used a sign on for one of my work email 365 logons to complete the setup, which went ok.

When the install completed and the PC booted up with logon profiles every time I entered the 365 user email address and password it wont recognise it and I just cant start up windows desktop. I have tried booting up to change start up behavior using shift + Restart and booting into safe mode/safe mode with networking, and still boots up to same logon profile screen.

And even though I thought it might give a forgot password option, it only allows enter user and password and always comes up with incorrect user/password error and ok button. Its a loop I cannot break despite I know the credentials and password are entered correctly. I’m losing the will to live as cant find any support answers from Microsoft etc. and fast running out of ideas short of returning as a faulty product.
Anyone know how to break the loop?

      I can’t find the TPM.

https://hackboard.com/product/hackboard2/ for reference. Without a TPM or fTPM this is unlikely to be stable.

Try a clean install of the OS. And I can’t tell you how due to the rather odd platform. Ask its maker.

Getting stuck in a login loop can be frustrating. Have you tried a few troubleshooting steps? Here are a couple of suggestions:

      1. Attempt a password reset: On the login screen, look for a “Forgot Password” or “Reset Password” option. Click on it and follow the instructions to reset your password. This might help you bypass the login loop.

      2. Try creating a local account: During the setup process, instead of using your work email 365 login, try creating a local account with a new username and password. See if you can successfully log in with the local account and access the desktop.
