Windows 11 Taskbar Icons Disappear After Restart

Hi everyone

After restarting my PC, my taskbar icons disappear and I have to pin them back manually every time. I’ve tried updating Windows and checking the taskbar settings, but the issue keeps happening. Does anyone know a fix for this? It’s really annoying!

Are you sure you login into the same Windows account? Sometimes there are issues with that and Windows makes a temporary new environment for you?

Apart from that, all I can suggest is to not shutdown, but use hibernate as much as possible. That’s not always possible, for example after a Windows update, but usually it is. Then your session stays active, including all settings.

The final solution might be a new install of Windows. But that’s a lot of work,

I’m definitely logging into the same account, but I’ll try using hibernate instead of shutting down and see if that helps. Hopefully, I won’t need to go for a full reinstall, Sounds like a lot of work!
