Windows 2000 slow right click in IE

by tech_dk . Updated 23 years, 12 months ago

I have an annoyance question regarding Internet Explorer. I seen this happen consistently on Windows 2000 machines, but it does not happen on Windows 95 or 98 machines. I am unsure if this occurs in ME or XP and I don’t care if it happens in 3.1
After I right click any information in Internet Explorer on a Windows 2000 machine there is a 3 second delay from when I click the mouse and the menu appears. Upon right clicking in other programs or on Window?s desktop I receive a slight hesitation that is less then a quarter second. I would like the decrease this delay in Internet Explorer to be the same as the rest of Windows.

I do not see ‘right click response’ as an option in ‘Internet Options’. I assume there would be a registry key for this feature, but I have been unable to find information concerning this online or casual browsing around the registry.

Windows 2000 with SP2
Internet Explorer 5.5, SP2

Any idea for solutions?
