Windows 2000 workstation pagefile.sys

One of my Windows 2000 workstations does not seem to have a pagefile. I set it after getting the message. I increased it, I set it to zero. I do not want to edit the registry. After all this, it does not work. What can I do? Thank you. TokenRing (chicago)
