Ok here’s the story I bought a Win8 laptop for work and decided to remove 8 for ease of usage
and lack of liking same. Bought an OEM copy of Win 7 and installed it after partitioning it
laptop was way above system minimums. After(successful?) instal would not boot (failed/corrupted file) Several more attempts same answer. Installed Fedora 20 this pulled seven
and remaining 8 out of hdd but got the same answer again corrupted/not confirmed file. Can not access thru Bios settings anyway to change this. So took laptop to shop for hard format and
was then told that Win8 imbeds in Bios and may not be removable there by HUH?
Has anybody else seen or heard of this? and if this is true is there a cure?
