Windows DVDMaker.exe crash caused by intel Codec

using Vista my windows dvd maker crashed and I cant remove the codec causing it: Faulting application DVDMaker.exe, version 6.0.6000.16386, time stamp 0x4549b5b0, faulting module iac25_32.ax, version 2.0.5.53, time stamp 0x3847010a, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00003548, process id 0x1704, application start time 0x01c823b3fe3df2d0.

I cant delete iac25_32.ax out of windows, cant rename it, and i do not find it in my programs to add or remove!! and owner is "trusted installer" Please help, thanks

If you invoke a new installation, the installer will detect the existing installation, then offer you a chance to uninstall the previous code.

That might work.

In the case of iac24_32.ax, here is what I found on another forum. Instructions are specific for Vista.

The files are expected to be present on your system but not registered. If
they are registered, this would cause this. Opening up a cmd.exe prompt
*with administrative privileges* and running:
regsvr32 /u iac25_32.ax
should fix this up.
