    Windows Installer

    I’ve been running Win2K for months now with no problem. All of a sudden, when I want to install something it pops-up the message: THE WINDOWS INSTALLER SERVICE COULD NOT BE ACCESSED. After this message I can’t install anything. How can I go about this without re-installing the OS. One of my servers has the same problem as well. Please help!!

      Technet article “315353” might help you out.
      Also article “315346” might be a clue.
