I have a small network of three(3) windows 2000 professional workstations and a Dual processor Multihomed Win 2000 Server machine.
I partioned and configured the workstations in such a way that the system partion(the C drive) is not accessible by users with neither administrative nor enterprise rights.
What surprises me is that the applications that I installed, such as Msword can not be accessed or rather launched when any user without administrative rights logs on. When he or she attempts to launch it, Windows installer automatically starts and informs the user that he/she can’t launch the application(s)!!
Does this problem stem from the users rights, policies or the installation of these applications?
Can anyone help me out of this since I wouldn’t like everyone anyhow to obtain administrative rights on my home network.
Thanks in advance
Keith
