Windows Login Problems

by ejf1238 . Updated 17 years, 9 months ago

I’m an administrator for a Windows Domain and I have run across this problem a few times and was looking for a reason/solution if anyone could help out.

Users typically connect via ethernet and always login with no problems. When they disconnect the ethernet cable and remove their connection to the network, SOMETIMES they will receive a password incorrect error when trying to log in. We have logins cached up to 10 times for logging in when you are not connected to the network. I believe you receive a different error for this reason anyway. Once the user connects back to the network they log in just fine. Could anyone explain what may be the reason for this? Like I said it doesn’t happen often and has never happened to me directly.

Thanks for your input.
