Windows ME - Where is MSCONFIG???

I would like to ADD/REMOVE systray programs. Where can I do this in ME since there is no MSCONFIG anymore?

Windows ME..... ugh.....

Yes, the msconfig utility is gone from Windows ME, as is the ability to use a DOS prompt. Here are a couple of places to disable startup programs:

Explore to C:/Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Startup. Everything in that folder will automatically load when the PC is booted. Add or remove as necessary. Also, open the Registry Editor (Start - Run - regedit [ENTER]). Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, select Software - Microsoft - Windows - CurrentVersion - Setup. Check the Run, RunOnce, RunOnceEx, and RunServices folders; you can normally remove any startup apps from there also. As usual, be careful when editing the registry, you can hose your system with a few errant keystrokes.

Good luck!
