Windows 98/Fdisk misreports drive size

by juanitadesjardins In reply to Windows mis reporting siz ...

Windows 98 was reporting a 69GB drive as a 10GB drive, but Windows 98 SE (when in GUI mode) reported the correct size. I found an article at Microsoft's site which describes this problem. The article applies to drives larger than 64GB and may not correctly answer your particular question on smaller drives. The article number is Q263044 and a related article is Q263045.
