Windows NT 4.0 Server SP6 Temp Folder

By jham ·
Our Server has a logical drive with a C: and F: Partition. The O/S resides on the C: Partition, the Temp folder also. All other files and application are on the F: Partition. Is it safe to delete the contents in this folder?
Thank You,
Jan Willem van den Ham

1. You can backup that folder on a network share somewhere just to ensure you can bring it back if need be...

2. Contents inside the temp folder on any machine are safe to delete as long as all programs are closed prior to doing so. - **Note, you cannot delete the TEMP folder itself as the registry is pointing to that folder, you can go into the registry, and redirect c:\temp to a temp folder on your d or f drive to allow more space on that os partition.

Good luck.
