Windows password changed when laptop was networked

By dianna_pop ·
I was trying to network my business laptop with my home pc to copy docs and programs. I was able to get the laptop onto my home network, but when I restarted the laptop, the Windows password I had been using did not work. I tried a bunch of old passwords but those did not work either. Now I cannot log into the laptop at all.
Please help - thanks!!

remove it from the domain?

If so, take it to tech support to re-add it

That is probably the problem. When I go back to work next week I am going to try to log onto the network and see if that corrects the problem. If not, I'll have to take it to the lab. Thanks for the response.

logging into the domain will not solve it

the computer needs to be re-added to the domain. Tech support will need to do this most likely

You took it off the domain

You removed the laptop from your business's network or domain. Now you have to logon locally.

Your work has a local Administrator profile on your laptop that they use to administer it without having to logon as a global user.

Time to grab your ankles and take it back to your IT department, they probably won?t be happy with you.

Yes I'm sure that is what I did so I guess I'll bring it to the lab. I have friends in low places :)
Thanks for the reply!
