You can either Clone it or Capture it

I used to use Ghost as well but now I use ImageX

anyway here is a list of freebies and an extra bit thrown in.

The HDClone Free Edition

Tip: Don't forget to do the Pagefile mod to turn it off and later turn back it back on Shutdown to save a bit of space in the Image. Local Security Settings, Local Policies, Security Options, Shutdown: Clear virtual memory pagefile.

A bit more advanced but also free and great for a complete backup.

The capture and restore commands are in the link below. If you want to be able to do this yourself download and install the AIK.

What is ImageX?

With a decent size USB stick you can capture and save the Operating System to a USB drive.

Read the .chm help files in the AIK
