Windows Server 2003 TcpAckFrequency

By colls7914 ·
I've read from Microsoft that the value for this is 1 or 2 only with the default value of 2 but in some of their article it can have a value of 13 if you're using a Gigabit NIC or 5 if using fast ethernet... Any ideas?

Thanks.

I'm afraid I don't understand what it is that you are trying to learn or actually do here.

slow file server

I'm having a problem with our Windows Server 2003... Our workstations (WinXP OS) are experiencing slow response from our server when copying/reading files. The server is our file server... Have read that other admins also experienced that kind of problem... Have read that modifying the TcpAckFrequency corrects the problem, of course, together with the other registry entries like pagedpool etc...

Thanks.
