Windows server 2016

By Bi2ly ·
Hi there,
I'm in charge to install Windows server in my company, I would like to know what will be the best practice concerning services and data storage, I would like to know if it's better to have only windows server 2016 on the hard drive where the system is installed or it doesn't matter if they're on the same hard disk.

Thanks for your advices

It would very much depend on your infrastructure is it physical or virtual if physical best practice would be to install OS on a mirrored pair of ssd disks for best performance and anything else on a raid array.

Thanks for your answer Carl,
I'll use esxi, got two 1T hard drive in raid 1 for mirroring. I was thinking about buying 4 more 2T hard drive to and put them in raid1 for data sharing.
Is that right?
