Thats the outlook

by chris.rodgers In reply to Email

The path given before was the "Outlook" e-mail file, I believe you're looking for the Outlook Express which should be located in the "C:\Document & Settings\Application Data\Identities\{*long mix of text and Numbers*]\Microsoft\Outlook Express\" andthat should be what your looking for the "Application Data" folder will be hidden underneath the Documents and Settings folder, you'll see a folder with a long mix of numbers and text under the identities folders. Hope this helps!

OE Files here

by uk_peterg In reply to windows xp

By default, Outlook Express creates your message store in a deeply nested folder. To locate this, open Outlook Express and click on Tools >Options. On the Maintenance tab, click Store Folder. You should see something like the following.: C:\Documents and Settings\kalpesh\Local Settings\Application Data\Id??If you click in the box on this path and press End you?ll discover that the path is even longer than it looks!

If you are looking for this folder to carry out backups, you can back up froma folder this deeply nested, but you?ll find it easier to do so if you move the message store to a more reasonable location.

To move your message store to a place where your backup routine can more easily find it, follow these steps:

Create the folder you want to use?for example, you could create a folder called My Messages in your My Documents folder.

In Outlook Express and click on Tools >Options. On the Maintenance tab, click Store Folder.
In the Store Location dialog box, clickChange to open the Browse for Folder dialog box.
Select the new store folder you created.
Outlook Express will move your messages the next time you start the program.

The path to your address book, using Outlook Express under XP, will be, by default, C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book\<username>.wab
