Hey, I have been struggling with a problem that just can’t seem to be fixed…
One day I started my computer and a message appeared that said: Windows xp cannot start because the next file is damaged or missing: /windows/system32/config/system…. Under the message it said it could be repaired with windows setup from the original windows xp cd. When I changed the first boot device in BIOS to CD rom, it worked.. I got a blue screen with windows setup at the top of the screen. But when it took lon g to get loaded i thought i would reboot the coomputer, but now it doesn’t even recognise the cd. It says boot from cd, but there isn’t a message that says ”type any key to start cd”. Also after the ”boot from cd” the computer restarts on its own or it goes to the Windows xp cannot start because the next file is damaged or missing: /windows/system32/config/system message again.. If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it…
Greetings
