Good Morning:

I've been having a problem, and would like to know if anyone can help. I use to have Windows XP on one of my machines, and several directories lost files. I didn't delete the files, and no one else accesses my computer. A friend of mine experiences the same thing. Has anyone else experienced or know of this, and if so what did you do to correct it, and what references on the internet do you have on this?

Look into your profile

Look into your user manager and then the profile settings in your user accounts. If the profile has the same path as your %home% directory then every file you save into your "my docs" or other similar local folders will get deleted when you log off the network. SImply remove the path from the profile or change the path completely.
