Windows2000 Clustering

by kahyi . Updated 24 years, 11 months ago

Being “brain-washed” to the ease and goodness of Windows 2000 Clustering, and after having it operated for a month, I guess I am lossing my faith on it day by day.

My win2000 cluster is on two Dell PowerEdge 2450 and external storage PowerVault 210. Hardware is excellent! but Windows 2000 Active/Passive Clustering for IIS is driving me NUTS!!!!! Someone suggested me to use Network Load Balancing for IIS or Active/Active Clustering, not Active/Passive Clustering.

Without any training and background on Clustering, I am really sceptic that I may end up (in merely a few weeks’ time) to switch back to the manual standalone machines for all my websites.

I only need one answer. IS WIN2000 CLUSTERING DEPENDABLE as a HA service?

Thanks.
