Windows2000 Professional

Recently i upgraded my network to win2000 nvironment..iam facing a problem where few of my client machines are not able to use internet..which r on win2k professional..remaining systems r ok..when i restart their systems they r working fine..but in the middle they r disconnecting from the internet..But i could able to ping the outside DNS servers..but not the sites like Yahoo.com and all..

You mentioned that the win2k clients can't ping www.yahoo.com.

Try pinging it by IP address. If you they're able to ping by IP, then it's a DNS issue. If not, check the gateway on the win2k clients.

How are you connecting to the internet? DSL? Cable? Dial Up? Using a router? Any firewalls?
What O/S are you running on your other clients?
Are the remaining clients able to ping www.yahoo.com?

I assume you have a Win2k DC and the AD domain mode is mixed mode. If so, do you have a DNS server installed on your network?
