Correct, using the policy Editor "POLEDIT.EXE". You could find it in your Windows 98 Resources Kit, or in your original Windows CD.

Find a directory called NETADMIN, and browse further down until you find POLEDIT.EXE (I forgot the directory name precisely).

In order to install it, then go to
Start>Setting>Control Panel

and choose the Add/Remove Program applet. Click the second tab Windows Setup. Under it, you find a button called "HAVE DISK". Click on that button and browse to the directory where you find your POLEDIT.EXE and install the feature.

After the installation, you could enforce "RESTRICTION" to whoever use the computer using the powerful POLEDIT.EXE.

There are two kind of enforcement,
1. by modifying the registry.
File > Open Registry
2. using configuration file (for networking)
File > Save As ...
and put the file you created (CONFIG.POL) to your logon directory in WINDOWS NT.

Ok, I think you should be able to follow the steps.

For step by step instructions, go to
www.microsoft.com/technet/win98/tips/protuser.asp (there should be no spaces in this URL)

Hope that helps.
