    WindowsSE SLEEPING DISEASE!

    Does anyone have any idea how to fix about 3 compaq presario pc’s that will go to sleep after a few hours and not come back up! I have chosen “Never” under Power Management…this does…NOTHING!!… LOL I have tried a few fixed offered by Microsoft…with not satisfaction. I would welcome any advise anyone has.

      Try going into the systems BIOS setup during bootup. There should be an option in there to disable the sleep mode. If not double check your settings again in the display properties in control panel.

        I have the exact same problem with a Compaq 6400EN. Compaq has a patch for slow shutdown with WindowsSE but nothing for just shutting down. I have tried everything..even disabling in the BIOS. I have spoke with Compaq and they can’t answer the question. Can SOMEBODY help us????
