WinNT – Domain Admins

I have a WinNT Workstation which participates in the domain. If I add a regular user to the global domain admins group logged on as local administrator, does this give admin rights to the domain after the user logs back onto the network or do the admin rights stay on a local level.

If you were using musrmgr on the local WinNT workstation, then the domain user has local admin rights.

If you were using User Manager for domains, then the domain user has domain admin rights.

Since you specified that he was added to the Domain Admin group then this would lead me to believe that you added him with User Manager for Domains… This would make him a domain Admin and he will have those rights on the whole domain… not just on the local machine.
