Wintel or Lintel?

By Samuel C. ·
Untill recently they talked about Wintel on PC or small sized systems. With MS Server 2003
MS have gone into large Systems.
On The Other Side There is Linux!
Now they talk about Lintel...
Linux With Intel Multiproceesor Systems.
The Hardware is similar. But The Software is different. Oracle or SAP for example work on
both environements.
What do YOU think about this?

Bollocks, basically!

I won't EVER build an Intel based system!!! End of story!!!

I have many bad experiences of Intel chipsets, Intel processors, Intel modems and graphics adaptors and as far as value for money goes and 'bang for buck', they have dropped into a poor third place.

Me, I am unashamedly anti Linux/Unix and unreservedly anti-Intel.

My money is on WinAMD or if you want real value and performance, Winehemia.
