Wireless Advice

By mmbarreca ·
For a basic WLAN that is being utilized for SQL-based software, we have run a script in SQL to increase the timeout alotment as well as encrypt the wireless stations to the access points. While this configuration has worked well, we have the randomenvironment where frequent drops are common. There is no noticable interference for the WLAN. My guess at this point is that the drops are as a result of the cable modem that is in place at the site since they have 7 workstations but the cable modem is a 4 port. We're trying to rule out any other issues so that we can show it's the 4 port cablem modem: any ideas on what else would cause random drops on a WLAN?
