With the tuff times now

By zlitocook ·
And Christmas a few weeks away I am looking for great deals on electronics.
I found two so far one at Best buy, you buy an Xbox 360 Pro and get a $25 dollar gift card and if you have their card and buy over $300 dollars worth of stuff you get a 15 percent discount.
Target had a great deal on a Crosley Director CD recorder; it is an old looking record player with a CDR built in. You can with one button record your LP's to CD and with this device you can also copy cassette tapes to CD.
It was $100 dollars off on Sunday.
What great deals have you found?

I have a card from Cabelas.

Ten dollars off anything, no minimum purchase. I also have another card from them, $20.00 off with a $100.00 minumum purchase.

I'm thinking I'll have to go there tomorrow and use the ten bucks off to buy a Cold Steel filet knife for use in our kitchen. I'll never get a better price on one and Cold Steel makes excellent knives.

Not electronics but still a good deal.

Those were your fingerprints on my catalog.

I have no need for it -- yet -- but I'm always fascinated by the food processing section. One day I'm gonna go for the canned rattlesnake, too.

Canned Rattlesnake?

by puppybreath In reply to So

Why bother? It tastes like chicken.

Last ones I killed were sidewinders.

by santeewelding In reply to Canned Rattlesnake?

They were too skinny to bother. Would have expended more energy to prep them than I would have gained from what little protein they had.

there wouldn't be much meat on a sidewinder. Sucker has to work awfully hard to move about. Those pygmy rattlers look pretty fat, though.

Tough times?

Really? Why do you let that happen?

Best Buy? Run from them - never buy from them.

How many retail companies

by road-dog In reply to Tough times?

Are just hanging on through this retail cycle and plan to fail early next year?

I'd not like to see it happen, but some might want to get the easy sales numbers now and file bankruptcy before all the gift cards get redeemed.

You go that route, you go all the way. I've had companies rack up a couple hundred in receivables with me in the morning and file by the end of the same day.
