Word 2000 Default Document

By jtudorl ·
On one of my Windows XP clients used by the public the Word 2000 opening (default) document has been saved with a large image. This image needs to be removed. What is the best way to handle this? Delete the default document? Or, remove the imagethen save the default document? Either way I need the name of the default document. I would appreciate all suggestions.

Locate Normal.dot There should be only one copy. Rename/delete it. Word will create a new one when it restarts.
If that doen't work, look at Tools>Add-ins to see what is listed there.

Open normal.dot in user's profile as a template and delete the image. Save and close.
