Word 2000 templates issue with Word 2007

By shoukhat.khan ·
I have a few word 2000 templates stored in a common location and my VB application calls them from there. This works fine with office 2000 and office 2003, but when i upgraded to office 2007 these templates do not work properly. I always get an error "Sub of Function not defined" and "Microsoft Visual Basic" written in the titlebar of the messagebox. Can anybody help me out solve this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I do not use VBA macros much but it sounds like an old function that is no longer supported in 2007 or it has found a bug that 2007 has picked up. The only way to fix is, is to check and update the macros.

backward compatibility only

I also use Word 2000, but I've heard that Word 2007 has a changed file extension. Although backward compatible with Word 2000, one cannot integrate the two, so I concur with PJ on this.
