Word 2000 viewing problem

By Shanghai Sam ·
On other PCs to open word2000 doc, its fine . But when I open on this particular PC, every page always short of 1 line. Seem that this PC's Word2000 has some problem that cause all documents open to have less 1 line at every page than other PCs. ThePC is P3-733/128M/13G, Win98SE & Office2K Pro.

I have tried re-installed Office 2000, delete normal.dot, replaced normal.dot from other PC, check page layout, check most of the settings under Tools->options and start Word under "/a" switch.

Anyone can help me out?

Is Tools>Options Compatibility set for W2K?
Does the page print correctly?
Does this machine share the same Printer as the other machines?
One thing to try is to reinstall the Print driver.
Is SR-1 installed?

This problem is a display only problem. Try one of the following:

1 - Change the Zoom settings.
On the View menu, select Zoom. Under Zoom to, select a larger setting.

2 - Change the way your viewing the document.
Change the view to Outline view.

3 - Change the line spacing.
4 - Change the Font or Point Size.

Is the desktop resolution the same on all the systems you opened the file on, this could be the cause too?
