Word 2002 does not show pics in docs

Have a friend who has encountered a problem with word in Office XP Pro. He installed Mozilla browser and after that when he opened his docs in word they did not show all of the graphics within the document. It is a large doc with 165 pages with diagrams and B&W pictures amongst the text. We tested some small docs and they were the same.

He uninstalled Mozilla but no change. He then reinstalled office and no change. We reinstalled windows xp pro and still no change. Everthing worked well before so what has happened. How do we get word to operate correctly again. The file works fine on my PC and shows all of the graphics in word.

He has a 1.4Ghz P4 with 256 Mb Ram and plenty of hard drive space. We have checked for viruses and found none.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
