Word 2002 Mailmerge

After having problems with Word 2002 not picking up data from Access queries in a mailmerge, I have realised that it only won’t pick up when the query is a parameter query or when it has Like/Between etc. statements in the criteria field of the query. Does this mean that I will have to rewrite all my queries or is there something else that I can do? This, for me is urgent.
