I have a workstation (P3 933, 256mb, 20gb)which opens four (4) windows, one at a a time, before opening only MS Word documents that is attached to an email (Outlook 2000). This is more of an inconvenience than anything else because the document eventually opens. However, the user happens to be a VP in my organization, so I need to get rid of it.
Here are the windows the user sees when he tries to double click on a MS Word attachment:
Window 1
Microsoft Word (Window Title)
C:\Program Files\pathname is not accessable. The file was moved or removed. (The user can click on OK only)
Window 2
(No Title)
The drive or network connection that the shortcut “Filename.ink” refers to is not available. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available, then try again.
Window 3 (Same as Window 1)
Window 4 (Same as Window 2)
It obviously cannot find the file in the users temp drive for the attachment. This happens for MS Word only, not excel or Powerpoint, etc…
Any suggestions???
