Word customize toolbar

By Eminent87 ·
Hi,

In word when you create a customize toolbar, it gets save in normal.dot template. This is fine but when I delete the normal.dot template because of corruption in word my customize toolbar and all my settings also get deleted. Is there a way to export or save the toolbar and settings before the normal.dot template is deleted and the importing it back?

Thanks!

Not sure if this will help, but here's something from Microsoft on restoring toolbars. GOOD LUCK!

Save a blank document as a template. Copy the custom toolbar (and any macros
associated with it) to the blank template using the macro organizer. Go to Tools>Macros and click on the Organizer button. Go to the Toolbars tab. You may have to Close?open files to do the transfer.. Save the modifications.
The toolbars can now be distributed as templates and attached as Add-ins.

Or copy Normal.dot and your toolbar.dot to a backup directory and replace the corrupted one when needed.
