    Word Doucuments Disappear After Saving in My Documents

    i have created a group policy that redirects an OU’s “My Documents” folder to a network share. for no apparent reason the users in that OU are failing to save their word documents in the redirected “My Documents” folder. i have tried to remove the folder redirection group policy from this OU but it didnt help. i have tried to remove the network share put it continually points to it. all the other office documents eg excel are being saved but once the users save thier word documents in the “My Documents” folder after about 30 seconds they disappear.

      I have come across this situation before and it is caused by the file saving location being directed to the same shared drive but different servers.So although you save it to the shared drive s:\,s:\ could be shared across two servers,so you have to find a shared drive that is on the same server.I have this myself.I save it to the my documents and when i go back into view it,its not there.I found a shared drive that is on the same server.This could be the possibility with your situation
