Word field update

By Lord Foul ·
Hi. I am creating a document in word 2003 with Tables of:contents, authorities, figures etc with indexing as well.

I need to update the fields as i regularly move things about that have fields associated with them.

I know how to do it in the print option dialog box however i would like to do this prior to printing. Any ideas?

Go to the menu selcet "tools, then selcet "options", The options dialog window should now be displaying. The "view" tab shoud be selected. find the check box for "Field codes" and check this check box, select "OK" button.

To update all fields in a Word document:

[1] Press Ctrl+A ...this selects the entire document, including all the fileds.

[2] Press F9 ...this will cause all the fields to re-calculate.
