I recently purchased a few dell latops with Office 2000 programs installed. I removed the 2000 programs and installed Office 97 pro SR2. We have a 79 K document on our server and when a person copies the file via Explorer, the file size remains thesame. when the person does a save-as the file grows to 880 k. The same file and content will save as 79 k on any other computers in the building that ahve not had 2000 previously installed. Any ideas?
