Word margin problem

One of my users is experiencing an odd situation. When she creates a new document in MSWord 2000(SR-1) and attempts to change the margins of the page to 1″ top, bottom, left and right and then goes to print the document, she is told that one or more margins is outside the printable area of the document (which by itself is a problem, because any printer should accept 1″ margins) and then she is asked if she wants to Fix or Ignore. If she chooses Fix, it adjusts the bottom margin to 2.67″ and leaves the left and right alone! If she chooses Ignore and prints the doc anyway, the bottom 2.67″ of the doc is not printed. OS is W2K sp4 and the printer is an HP4050 running off a Win2K print server.
